Clinton County Live has teamed up with CCYC (Clinton
County Youth Council) to present free guitar lessons for Clinton County
students in grades 6-12.
Introduction to Guitar will focus primarily on the
fundamentals of rhythm guitar. Students will learn how to properly tune the
guitar, the correct position for holding a guitar, the basic Open Chords (both
Major and minor), basic strumming patterns, chord progressions and songs.
This new music program, under the direction of Local Music
Teachers Matt Lakes and Rob Stuckert is a ten week course
that will start Friday, February 3rd at the Youth Center (302 W. Sugartree
St.) Class size is limited, so register now!
Applications can be picked up at the youth center and
are due by January 30th. This course is designed for first time guitar
players. Must be able to commit to full ten-week course.
